Course Objective

The aim of this lesson is to introduce students to the major principles of the Turkish Commercial Insurance System.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to comprehend the concept of Insurance
2   Being able to have insight into the history and origin of Insurance
3   Being able to learn about the distinctions between private insurance and social (public) insurance
4   Being able to realise the essentials of an Insurance Contract
5   Being able to apprehend the parties in an Insurance Contract
6   Being able to formulate and evaluate simple legal arguments
