Course Objective

The aim of the course is to help students to understand the concepts and practices of ethical thinking, to adopt the rules of ethics, to use and follow them, to be aware of what they are, how they are formed and how behavior in the business world is affected by them. Also it aims enabling businesses to understand the need to develop and maintain relationships with their stakeholders in line with business ethics and social responsibility, and to learn the ways, methods and tools of this.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students can explain the concepts of ethics, morality, business ethics and corporate social responsibility and understand the relationship between them.
2   Students will be able to explain the organizational and individual factors affecting the ethical decision making process.
3   Students will be able to define ethical standards and create business ethics and social responsibility policies of businesses and question them when necessary.
4   Students will understand the role of business ethics and social responsibilities of business organizations in creating and developing corporate identity.
