Course Objective

The aim of the course is to determine the position of financial institutions that create and do not create funds in the national and international financial system, by providing the necessary basic information on the legal and organizational structures, activities and organs.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to explain the elements of the financial system
2   To summarize the functions of financial markets and institutions in the financial system
3   To summarize the functions of international monetary systems and international financial institutions.
4   Explain the structure of the money market in Türkiye.
5   To be able to understand the structure, duties and powers of the Central Bank and monetary policy instruments
6   To be able to explain the basic features of the Turkish banking system.
