Course Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce learners the laws and regulations applied in the field of tourism.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will become familiar with law terminology in order to define legal concepts and issues relating to tourism. 2   will be able to acquire the skills to reach and use relevant law materials. 3   will be able to identify legal problems in the field of tourism. 4   will be able to analyze and use the relevant codes and regulations.

Week Subject Description 1 Sources of law, Tourism law, laws and regulations relating to tourism 2 Tourism Encouragement Law 3 Regulations on certification and qualifications of tourism facilities 4 Regulation relating to maritime tourism 5 Travel Agencies and Association of Travel Agencies Law I 6 Travel Agencies and Association of Travel Agencies Law II 7 Tourism establishments, relations with each other and their customers; Contracts applied in tourism operations 8 Package tours, package tour contracts; regulations relating to package tours 9 Time sharing, time sharing contract 10 Consumer protection in tourism; Law on the protection of consumers 11 Legal regulation on tourist guidance 12 The movement of persons between countries, visa procedures; Passport Law, Law on Residence and Travel I for Foreigners, Law on Work Permits of Foreigners 13 The movement of persons between countries, visa procedures; Passport Law, Law on Residence and Travel II 14 Settlement of disputes and arbitration
