Course Objective

This course analyzes government and competitioni principles of taxation, income tax, sales and consumption tax, property and wealth tax in detail.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Demonstrate understanding of the role of government in competition by the analysis of government duties in practice.
2   Be aware of the different views on fiscal theory and policy by reading and presenting articles on selected topics
3   Recognize and analyze different fiscal policy tools (different taxes) and their effects by reading articles and by applying mathematical and numerical methods to solve these problems
4   Make group presentations on a given subject by constructing research on the subject
