Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to ensure that the students who take the course will have knowledge of the Northern Sea Route, ice navigation, ice formation, ice types and ice maps.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Provide students with information about ice formation and ice types.
2   To ensure that students have information about the northern sea route.
3   Ensure that students have the ability to understand and solve ice maps.
4   Ensure that students have knowledge of IMO rules and codes related to the North Arctic Region.
