Course Objective

Students are supposed to learn Seamanship, seamanship terms, definition and history of
ships, General types of ships, Compartments of ships, Mooring and anchoring equipments,
Ship maneuvering at the end of the course.

1   To learn Seamanship, seamanship terms, definition and history of ships, General
2   To provide personnel required to carry out seamanship duties with basic knowledge
3   To provide equipment identification, terminology, and seamanship evolution
4   Prepare part of ship and equipment for berthing operations Mooring and anchoring
5   Being able to perform safe working practices.
