Course Objective

In the light of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was accepted by the UN after the social and humanitarian conditions brought by industrialization and the modern period from the 19th century, as well as the confusion and troubles caused by the two great world wars, the basic teachings of religions, the struggle for existence of religious communities and cultural interaction were reconsidered. efforts to address and make sense of it have emerged. In this context, to evaluate the articles directly or indirectly related to freedom of religion and conscience in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in terms of religions and the cultures in which they live; In this way, it aims to shed light on the resolution efforts on issues such as freedom of religion and belief, religious and cultural discrimination, and assimilation.
