Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the phenomenology of religion from a methodological point of view. To examine and teach the approaches of philosophers, especially Kant, Hegel, Husserl, Heidegger and Sartre, on the definition, source, limit and possibilities of the concept of phenomenology in a historical, problematic and descriptive manner.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to recognize prejudices that prevent correct thinking; By learning about the phenomenology of religion, they can distinguish the methodological approach to the problems related to religion.
2   Recognize the sources related to the philosophy of religion and phenomenology; Students will be able to obtain detailed information about the contributions of phenomenology and religion.
3   To comprehend the concept of phenomenology and the meanings of the related concepts in the history of philosophy and its problematic development.
4   They will see the scientific level of their research.
5   Will be able to comprehend the nature of phenomenological texts that enrich religious thought.
