Course Objective

The purpose of the course is to get the students of higher religious education have the skill to read and understand the religous and literary texts in manuscript or printed books written in Ottoman Turkish and to make use of these sources.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To recognize the relationship between religion and literature in the axis of literary genres revealed by Islam
2   To list the classic works of world literature appended by Ottoman Turkish Islamic Literature
3   To classify the works of Ottoman Turkish Islamic Literature by subjects
4   To recognize the formal properties of works of Ottoman Turkish Islamic Literature
5   To analyze the genres growing with Islam in Turkish Literature
