Course Objective

History of mankind has experienced many different phases in terms of thought and the reflection of thoughts as literature. Mankind is under the effect of humanity thought systems as much as religions. Throughout the history, thoughts have gained different dimensions. So, in this course students will have information on a considerable part of these thought movements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will learn the thought phases of humankind.
2   Will have information about the impacts of these phases on literature.
3   Will learn the matches of these movements in Turkish literature.
4   Will gain the ability of classification the literary texts according to these movements.
5   Will be able to compare Turkish Literature with currents of world literature.
