Course Objective

The aim is for the students to learn the general characteristics of Hellenistic architecture and its differences from other historical periods, using as a basis examples of religious, public and social building structures.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   recognize of architectural elements and materials that make up the structure or a city
2   comprehend the characteristics of other period buildings which influenced the architecture of the Hellenistic Period
3   learn about Hellenistic structures in Anatolia and in other countries and in this way to achieve results in evaluating archaeological material.
4   use terms correctly when describing works of Hellenistic Architecture.
5   do library and Internet research.
6   describe relevant information and experiences of research in written and oral.
