Course Objective

This course aims to classify languages with respect grammatical features, and to introduce the theories developed on language family and language classification.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1 discuss the methods of linguistic typology.
2   2 employ phonological, morphological and syntactic typology devices.
3   3 classify languages with respect to its linguistic features.
4   4 draw tpological features of a given language.
5   5 classify languages with respect to semantic and pragmatic features.
