Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the concept of text as a communication unit, the conditions of the text prduction, the phase of production of the text and the text types.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To distinguish genre and the text types according to the linguistic criteria
2   To be able to explain the relationship between textlinguistics and other linguistics fields and theories
3   To be able to realize the phase of the text production and use them in creating or producing text
4   Distinguish the relationship between the concepts of text linguistics and other linguistic linguistic concepts
5   To describe, analyse, and interpret the style and type of texts
