Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of the theoretical introduction and basic applications of Newtonian mechanics based on the principles of classical physics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define the physical quantities with their units
2   Being able to identify the vectorel and scalar quantities
3   Being able to understand the conservation principles of laws of motion
4   Being able to gain an ability to apply Newton's laws of motion to physical problems
5   Being able to calculate work and energy for simple mechanical systems
6   Being able to apply the energy conservation principles to mechanical systems
