Course Objective

This course will cover the basics of fluorescence techniques,methodologies and instruments. The lecture aims to teach the subjects: Introduction to fluorescence, processes of absorption and emission, environmental factors / fluorescence-based molecular sensors, resonance energy transfer, fluorescence markers and their characteristic features, fluorescence quenching, time resolved fluorescence, advanced fluorescence spectroscopic techniques and applications in analytical chemistry.
