Course Objective

This course aims to teach the current research topics in physical chemistry to undergraduate students dependent on their interests. A lecture course in physical chemistry in areas of specialization of the faculty, with emphasis on current developments. Specific topics will be changed from semester to semester. Studied topics will differ from one year to another and are selected from the following tentative list: Experimental structural chemistry, Theoretical chemistry, Molecular modelling, Advanced polymer technology, Applied chemical kinetics, Nanochemistry, Polymercomposites

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student will be able to:Know how to search current reseach topics in physical chemistry with appropriate search engines.
2   Discuss the general properties of Nanotechnology and related techniques.
3   Have basic informations on the methods which are used in polymer science and technology.
4   Discuss on the molecules that are in the intersection of nanotechnology and physical chemistry.
5   Have sufficient information on the polymer composites applications.
