Course Objective

Metrology concepts for undergraduate students within the scope of the course; international measurement standards, how to make dimensional, temperature, electrical and magnetic measurements; determination of precision in measurements, ways of increasing precision in measurements; It is aimed to obtain information on how to report measurement results according to national/international guidance documents.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Obtaining information about Metrological Concepts and Institutions and Organizations Related to Metrology.
2   To learn about the concept of calibration.
3   Learning and calculating the concept of uncertainty.
4   To know SI basic and derived units, to learn about other unit systems.
