Course Objective

1.To teach the principles of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, interpretations of spectral data and applications of NMR.
2. To teach applications of radiation and radionuclides in industry and medical fields.
3. To teach operational principles of nuclear reactors.

5 Spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxation mechanisms
6 T1 and T2 measurement techniques
7 The analysis of NMR spectra
8 NMR Imaging and the methods of imaging
9 MIDTERM EXAM
10 The reasons which effective NMR imaging, clinical examples of NMR imaging and other applications of NMR
11 Natural radioactivity, artificial radioactivity and radiation
12 Applications of electromagnetic radiation in industry and medical field
13 Applications of radionuclides in medical field

Assessment Criteria

1. The homework, Quiz and mid-term exams of the student is assessed as the achievement of them in the semester.
2. At % 50 score of final examination is added directly to the others.

1. It is obligated to continue at least %70 of lessons.
2. If the student don t make him homework and attend mid-terms and Quiz, he does not access the final exam.
