Course Objective

Students are expected to learn translating literary texts from English into Turkish. This course also aims to teach students distinguish between literary discourse and other typess of discourses. Within this course students do not only learn to translate but to work in groups and edit each others' translations.

4   4. Know and apply strategies and methods used in literary translation and develop new methods when required

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Face-to-face and interactive courses. Critical reading and thinking skills will be enhanced. Dynamic, critical and effective reading will be promoted.
