Course Objective

To gain the prospective teachers, the concepts of drama, explaining development and historical process of drama, concepts, techniques and phases of pedagogic, creative, and psycho-drama and also discussing and gaining the characteristics of drama process and the skills for developing drama practice samples in primary education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to have the knowledge about basic concepts ( plays, techniques etc.) in drama.
2   Being able to comprehend the development and historical process of drama.
3   Being able to explain the similarity and the differences between pedagogic, creative and psycho-drama.
4   Being able to explain places for drama and evaluating the drama process.
5   Being able to comprehend the phases of drama.
6   Being able to gain the skills for planning and applying drama as a teaching method in primary education.
