Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable prospective teachers of Turkish Language and Literature to recognize Turkish literatures developed outside Turkey and to help them learn important authors and their works in this literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the diffusion areas of Turkish as a literary language
2   To be able to compare Turkish World literatures in terms of their development
3   To be able to summarize the effects of the developing literature in Turkey on other Turkish literatures
4   To be able to explain the place of prominent writers of the Turkish world in world literature
5   To be able to evaluate prominent people and works in the literatures of the Turkish world

The success of the student is determined by the midterm and final exam grades. Apart from this, there is no special evaluation criterion.
