Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable prospective Turkish Language and Literature teachers to recognize the basic features of language, to learn communication theories and models, to distinguish between natural and artificial language and to understand the functions of language in literary narratives.

1   Ability to know the key features and key concepts of the language.
2   Ability to know the place of the language in communication
3   Ability to have knowledge about varieties of communication
4   Ability to use the language in literature
5   Ability to observe the place of language as a communication tool in literary narrative.

The success of the student is determined by the midterm and final exam grades. Apart from this, there is no special evaluation criterion.
