Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inform Turkish Language and Literature teacher candidates about the development of the discipline in the process from the emergence of folklore and folk literature to the present day, to recognize the basic concepts, people and problems of the field.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Obtain information about the birth and development of Turkish Folk Literature.
2   Understands the characteristics of genres related to folk literature.
3   Analyzes the texts related to folk literature.
4   Classifies the products of folk literature in different ways.
5   Makes cultural and educational evaluations about the products of folk literature.
