Course Objective

This course aims to provide an understanding of the approaches and helping services related to career development and career counseling in schools.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the concept of career development PreK-12
2   Interpret career counseling and how it can enhance career development
3   Evaluate the role of work in human development and the interface of work and family life
4   Evaluate the role of the school in helping students receive career counseling and career information
5   Integrate the role of of technologies, personality factors, values and attitudes that may play in career development and assessment
