Course Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce the modern Islamic world. In this context, basic ethnic structures in the Islamic world, major languages and sects will be introduced primarily and contemporary Islamic movements will be emphasized.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the thought schools of the Islamic world
2   To be able to analyze the contribution of Islamic world to civilization and the historical development process of this contribution
3   To understand the importance of Islamic world in World Politics
4   To be able to interpret the relationship between Türkiye and the Islamic world
5   To be able to understand the relationship between the Western world and the Islamic world
