Course Objective

The objective of parents teaching is to provide the candidate teacher of preschool teaching department to illuminate and train about developing family life, the importance and necessity of family, to include family into education programs, to contribute especially fathers to have more active part in children s education.

1   Noticing the social and individual benefits of parents teaching
2   Explaining the role of family in preschool teaching
3   Having consciousness of importance of family for Turkish society
4   Explaining the importance of teaching and learning of adults
5   Explaining the importance of family participation in preschool years.
6   Having a knowledge about parents programs in Türkiye for preschool childhood period.

1 The presentation of course outline, resources, auxiliary resources, strategy to follow, the method and techniques
2 The description, objective and importance of parents teaching- the matter need to be paid attention in parents teaching- different approaches for parents teaching
3 Parents teaching programs in Türkiye for preschool childhood period(Parents School, Mother-Child Teaching Program, Teaching of Mother Program, Support for Father Program )
4 The importance of communication of parents-child, - basic elements of healthy communication of parents-child,- the language used in communication with child.(egocentric language)
5 Discipline in child education-the description, importance and methods of discipline
6 Family participation in preschool period (family participation to the indoor and outdoor activities). Factors that block the family participation
7 Description, learning and psychology of adults and period of adulthood.

9 Approaches to the parents teaching(Family Teaching in Home Approach, Family Teaching in Teaching Centers Approach, Family Teaching United With Preschool Teaching Approach, Family Teaching With Remote Teaching Method Approach)
