Course Objective

This course aims to teach fundamental concepts related to functional groups and aromatic compounds, to to investigate reactions and synthesis about thsese compounds

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   After completing this course, the students will be able to 1) Explain conditions for a compound to be aromatic
2   2) distinguish chemical reactions of aldehydes and ketones.
3   3) suggest synthesis for aldehydes and ketones.
4   4) distinguish the chemical reactions of carboxylic acids and their derivatives.
5   5) suggest synthesis for carboxylic acids and their derivatives.
