Course Objective

The aim of this course is to gain different perspectives on basic concepts and approaches related to chemistry learning and teaching, to gain different perspectives on social, cultural and economical aspects, to learn the reflections of teaching and learning approaches on chemistry teaching and on basic chemistry teaching skills with components of effective chemistry teaching.

1   1. Be able to explain the meaning of concepts related to chemistry learning and teaching processes
2   2. Be able to explain the aim, basic principles and history of chemistry education
3   3. Be able to recognize the reflection of teaching and learning approaches to chemistry teaching in chemistry teaching
4   4. Assessing problems encountered in chemistry teaching
5   5. Be able to comprehend the components of an effective chemistry teaching
