Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide understanding of the normal structure and function of the urinary system,
male and female genital systems, and the endocrin organ related to these systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describe the anatomical structures, histology and embryology of endocrine organs
2   Describe the anatomical structure, histology and embryology of kidney, bladder and ureters
3   Explain the anatomical structure, histology and embryology of male and female genital organs
4   Describe to the physiological functions of the endocrine organs, the general mechanism of action of the hormones
5   Describe the kidney physiological functions
6   Describe the mechanisms of pregnancy, lactation and menopause
7   Describe the male reproductive system functions
8   Explain some clinical findings related to endocrine system dysfunctions

OBD consists of theoretical and practical exam. It constitutes 76% theoretical and 24% practical of the evaluation.
