Course Objective

Providing students with information about basic Banking and Finance making them know banking products and services, acquire information about the ethical rules related with banking and ensuring that they will be informed about sector and sector's function. Enabling them acquire general information related with structuring, standards, processes and functions of Information Technologies (IT) departments, and enabling them being informed on how Information Technologies are being benefited in Finance sector, what type of financial applications are developed by using what technologies.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. Students will have virtual portfolio of 100.000 TL at the beginning of the semester and will try to develop this portfolio by different financial tools. At the end of the semester, this study will be evaluated.
