Course Objective

For the students of the Piano department who wants to improve on Vocal accompaniment, this class aims that they interpret the singers' repertoire in harmony with the singer according to the periodical and stylistic characteristics of the pieces, as well as obtaining the aesthetic and informative knowledge, behaviours towards
the art and the artist and the comparative critical view in order to create their creative identity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1- The student can interpret the piece with the singer in harmony
2   2- The student can apply the periodic, esthetic and stylistic aspects of the pieces and can reflect the the musical and compositional wholeness.
3   3- The student can perform his obtained Opera culture in different venues
4   4- The student is informed about the voice repertoire
5   5- The student obtains information on breathing in vocal pieces and about the diction rules in different languages

Written and oral sources about the composers of the works being studied, as well as their musical forms and stylistic aspects.

Recordings of the pieces played by different performers.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Learning and Teaching Strategies: The classes are given like one professor and one student and when it is necessary the singer participates the course.
