Course Objective

To be able to comprehend through the analysis of the effects of Medallion on the Art of Sculpture.
To be able to plan the stages of designing and producing students' own Medallion projects and to supervise the process.
Recognition of medallion techniques and the ability to realize them into unique productions.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Medallion examples made with relief technique are analyzed in form and technique and design principles are examined.
Each student produces four medallions at the end of the semester.
If the student prefers, one of his/her works can be a copy of the medallions of well-known artists.

Assessment Criteria

Four medallions made at the end of the semester will be evaluated and criteria such as the adequacy of the implementation of techniques and forming will be considered.
Class attendance is the only requirement to participate in the evaluation.
