Course Objective |
The objective of this course is to develop the musical skills necessary for students to engage in meaningful collaborative performance using selections from the accompanied solo repertoire. In addition, the course provides students with opportunities to familiarize themselves with and perform concerto literature through accompanied lessons with the piano reduction of the orchestral score. Finally, the course helps prepare students for performances at jury examinations, concerts and recitals |

Whenever possible, Urtext edition musical scores will be used. These can be obtained commercially or from the conservatory's music library. Supplemental resources include scores in the common domain available through online databases and libraries such as IMSLP and NMA. Reference materials may also be found online and in the conservatory library and recording studio in the form of audio and video recordings and biographical, historical and critical literature. |

Course Policies and Rules |
Students are responsible for providing the collaborative pianist with a clean and legible score. Rehearsals to be attended by the instrument instructor should be arranged and agreed upon by both instructors in advance. |
