Course Objective

The students learns evidence-based physiotherapy in end-stage organ insufficiency and tissue and organ transplantation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows legal regulations, legislations and applications of organ donation and transplantation
2   Knows pathophysiology and evidence-based physiotherapy of end-stage organ failure
3   Learns about evidence-based physiotherapy in solid organ transplantation
4   Learns tissue transplantation and its physiotherapy.
5   Knoes composite organ transplantion

2 Legistaion, legal regulations, logistics and ethical aspects of tissue and organ donation/transplantation
3 Pathophysiology, treatment and physiotherapy of end stage kidney insufficiency
4 Surgery and physiotherapy of kidney transplantation
5 Pathophysiology, treatment and physiotherapy of end stage liver insufficiency
6 Surgery and physiotherapy of liver transplantation
7 Pathophysiology, treatment and physiotherapy of end stage heart insufficiency
8 Surgery and physiotherapy of heart transplantation
9 Pathophysiology, treatment and physiotherapy of chronic lung diseases
10 Surgery and physiotherapy of lung transplantation
11 Tissue transplantation (kornea, bone bone marrow, tendon, skin)
12 Physiotherapy in hematopoetic stem cell transplantation
13 Composite organ transplantation (extremity, face and hairy skin)
14 Sports participation in tissue and organ transplantation
15 Evidence-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation in tissue and organ transplantation
