Course Objective

Minimally invasive dentistry is a philosophy that tries to ensure that permanent teeth are functional for life and primary teeth are functional until they lost, and it is a vitally important term in modern dentistry. This course aims to introduce a minimally invasive intervention approach, a preventive philosophy to minimize intervention, individualized risk assessments, accurate detection of lesions, and remineralization of lesions that have not been exposed to cavitation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gains knowledge of remineralization agents and their application.
2   Gains knowledge about minimally invasive intervention approaches.
3   Grades the severity and progression of caries.
4   Evaluates the effectiveness of advanced caries diagnostic methods.
5   Defines minimally invasive techniques in dentistry.
