Course Objective |
The aim of this course is, to explain the concepts of violence against women and gender-based violence , to determine the types of violence against women , to examine the historical development of determining violence against women as a violation of human rights, the relationship between violence against women and the equality of men and women, international documents specific to violence against women /their related jurisprudence, regulations on violence against women in Turkish Law and the obligations of the state to prevent violence, from the perspective of human rights law and to enable students to acquire knowledge on these subjects. |
