Course Objective

It is the application of the knowledge and skills acquired in the Basic Orchestral Conducting Techniques course to the student both theoretically on the score and in rehearsals and studies with the orchestra/piano.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student can comprehend the basic practicing techniques that related to conducting.
2   Student can practice the basic beating tecniques with orchestra.
3   Can practice the use of breathing with the orchestra
4   Can analyze the score in terms of harmonic, formal and conducting.
5   Can make written and oral comments on Orchestral Music and Repertoire in historical and musical terms and discuss the differences.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lessons
Conducting orchestral works with orchestra/piano, which is examined in terms of conducting, is done by video recording and discussion.
Homeworks:
It is done by giving written assignments on the analysis of the determined orchestral works in terms of harmonic, formal and orchestral conducting, and practical assignments on the management.

Students should come to the lesson ready to conduct the works determined by the instructor with an orchestra/piano. There is a 70% attendance requirement for the course.
