Course Objective

Contemporary Cinema's mission and problems, identity, other, modern, postmodern etc. to the student. The aim is to explain, try to comprehend, and make comparative analyzes by watching sample films from directors and cinemas of modernist cinema, and to understand and comprehend the languages and styles of cinema.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Contemporary Cinema's mission and problems, identity, other, modern, postmodern etc. to the student. The aim is to explain, try to comprehend, and make comparative analyzes by watching sample films from directors and cinemas of modernist cinema, and to understand and comprehend the languages and styles of cinema
2   2 The student learns about the different aesthetics of films that discuss contemporary issues,
3   3 The student's ability to question himself about how and where he should stand as a cinema school graduate, what his mission might be, to gain a certain perspective
4   The cinema styles of the important directors of modern cinema and the subjects and concepts they use in their films will be analyzed through their sample films.
