Course Objective

The aim of this course is to give students the opportunity to develop their own individual 2D animation projects. Students will have the chance to apply the knowledge they have acquired during their studies. The progress of the projects will be supervised and directed by the consultant.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To convey the basic workflow logic required to make animation projects
2   To carry out guiding experiments in animation project designs.
3   To develop a project from scratch
4   To gain the experience required to complete a short film project
5   To understand the financial and moral problems experienced during the project development process and producing solutions.

2 Presenting synopses and reference materials
3 Screenplay, first draft
4 Working on storyboards
5 Presenting completed storyboards
6 Presenting animatics
7 Finding and presenting visual references
8 Presenting character design sketches
9 Presenting preproduction documents, jury evaluation
10 Creating and presenting character sheets
11 Creating a background for the demo scene
12 Character rigging
13 Character animation
14 Final presentation and evaluation
