Course Objective

The aim of the course is to explore experimental techniques in animation by focusing on concepts such as rhythm, timing, color and shape. Current and past work is reviewed and discussed in class.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gain a strong command of color, composition and abstract rendering for animation projects.
2   Gaining the ability to evaluate and understand layered visual information.
3   Ability to experiment with innovative methods when developing animation projects, based on a strong background and creative skills.
4   To be able to produce animation works that show a variety and wide range of non-narrative animation techniques.
5   Ability to conduct original experiments in animation based on a confident attitude.
