Course Objective |
It is aimed to do the necessary workshop and practice studies for transferring the theatre play scripts of classical period into three dimensional scene by analyzing them in terms of stage design and to plan and generate the whole theoretical and practical transfer which will be done for the presentation of these studies and to turn them into sufficient, qualified, aesthetical projects in terms of stage and performing arts. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Theoretical information about general context, focus point and details of project chosen in class will be given. The students will be guided about choosing play and suggestions will be given to them. Preparations which are necessary for design and run practice phase during the process of play chooses and completing the official work for projects chosen will be done. After completing the official work, we will pass design phase and homework will be given for new solutions and techniques till the end of this phase. Review sessions about time given for this homework will be done by instructor at the first half of the class every week. Drawings in class and homework will underlie the problems that will be solved in these sessions. The students will be encouraged to engage in the class discussions. Following the design phase, we will pass practice and presentation phase and the projects will be presented by students in front of a jury consisted of instructors of stage design in the given time. |

Scoring is done the preparatory work for the project, efficacy, compliance with the contents of the design process, the project studies, technical and aesthetic competence, class, and participation in workshops, assignments and projects at the stage of complete submission and presentation of student projects in a competent manner effectively present and defend the basic project will be taken. |
