Course Objective

It is aimed to teach students to design using software modeling methods on stage design through digital media, as well as through these methods develop skills to create unique designs and constructs on stage purposes.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn the methods of computer-aided design,
2   To be able to create new and original designs through computer-aided design software,
3   To gain ability to create the project in digital design softwares,
4   Identify professional terminology and concepts concerning computer-aided design,

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The instructor will teach the students the methods of computer-aided design by helping to create their designs via chosen digital environment while informing them about the problems and solutions encountered during design and implementation phases. Besides designing, problem identification and problem-solving methods in education, general information about different softwares will also be mentioned, the student will be responsible of presentation and exhibition of his/her projects at the end of the term.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Scores depend on the execution of final given project, design through sensitive and accurate methods, and presentation of the classroom excersizes.

Assessment Criteria

The student will applicate basic digital drawing criteria in each project during the course.

Student participation points to be obtained, (1) the state of attendance, (2) the student's answers to the questions asked by the instructor during the class and quality of project during class (3) and on the student's contribution for the creation of a positive learning environment.

Course Policies and Rules

1.It is obligatory to participate 80% of the classes in one term.
2.Any kind of plagiarism and attempts will result in disciplinary action.
3.All excersizes will be excecuted during class time.
4.Being absent in the class won t be regarded as a valid excuse for the late delivery of homework/assignments or projects.
5.The student is responsible for the usage of computers in computer studio.
