Course Objective

It is aimed to perceive the musical components of the genres and styles to develop piano tecniques by playing examples from a wide piano repertoire including Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th century classical music, contemporary Turkish musci, Jazz, Blues and Pop.

1   Play the scales in different tones
2   Play the arpeggios in different tones
3   Know the locations and functions of pedals
4   Interpret the pieces with correct technique and musical expression
5   Interpret more complex terms for dynamics, tempo and expressions on the piano
6   Play pieces from different music genres involving different piano techniques

1 Deciding a piano piece for suitible level.
2 Practicing the pieces. Scales an arpeggios.
3 Practicing etudes toward piano pieces.
4 Practicing etudes toward piano pieces.
5 Age and stylistic features of piano pieces.
6 Piano pedals.
7 Practicing accurate tempos and dynamics of pieces and etudes.
8 Technique and musical expression studies toward ages and genres of pieces.
9 Mid-term exam.
10 Desiding new pieces and scales and arpeggios.
11 Practicing accurate tempos and dynamics of pieces and etudes.
12 Technique and musical expression studies.
13 Continuation of the previous lesson.
