Course Objective

To understand what dramaturgy is and basic concepts, and supporting on practising.
to study on analysing and reproduce play to production

1   to know about the basic concept of dramaturgy and its study field
2   to know about the history of dramaturgy in the theatre history
3   what does dramaturg do and what is dramaturg's study field
4   to learn the creative analyses on the play text
5   to know about different methods of dramaturgical analyses
6   to earn and develop ability on interdiciplinary field and
7   to express the outcome of these researches using critical writting techniques

Recomended or Required Reading

All kinds of Turkish and other languages literature on drama, dramaturgy, drama theories and other specific literature.
In addition, all kinds of texts, books, articles and visual materials about theater theories and text analyze.

Basic outlines of the course are given by the instructor with examples, opinions.
Homework s to do on texts read and discussed in class.
