Course Objective

Teaching all relevant aspects of local anaesthetics and local anaesthetic technique concerning to dentistry

1   Briefly tells historical perspective of anaesthesia
2   Describes pain and pain threshold
3   Painful stimuli, and the reactions to it are explained
4   defines receprörs
5   classifies pain and suggests treatment alternatives
6   can explain all local anesthetic techniques used in dentistry
7   can explain clinical aspects of pharmacokinetic and dynamic aspects of local anesthetics in relation to clinical importance
8   can understand vazokonstrictors and their clinical role
9   recognises instruments used in local anaesthesi
10   tells clinically relevant and important aspects of V th cranial nerve
11   can write down all aspects of dental local anaesthetics. complications
