Course Objective

To teach the hard and soft tissue diseases that occur in the oral cavity, which the student encounters in the clinic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows panoramic, cephalometric, hand-wrist radiographic techniques and applies the panoramic technique
2   Knows and diagnoses pathologies localized in the jaw bones.
3   Knows and diagnoses oral soft tissue pathologies.
4   Knows and diagnoses paranasal sinus pathologies and soft tissue calcifications.
5   Defines advanced imaging techniques.

Assessment Criteria

1. The student knows the panoramic, cephalometric, hand-wrist radiographic techniques and should be able to apply the panoramic technique.
2. The student should know and be able to diagnose pathologies localized in the jaw bones.
3. The student should know and be able to diagnose oral soft tissue pathologies.
4. The student should be able to identify and diagnose paranasal sinus pathologies and soft tissue calcifications.
5. The student should be able to describe advanced imaging techniques
