Course Objective

To be informed about infectious diseases and their clinical features, transmission routes, to gain basic information about infection control methods.

1 Basic concepts in Infection Control, Hand cleaning, Hand flora, Hand washing, antiseptic hand washing, When should hands be washed How should hands be washed
2 Cross-infection, Infection chain, Cross-infection transmission routes in dentistry, Infection control and basic principles in dentistry
3 What should be considered when using gloves Operations that require the wearing of sterile gloves,
4 Transmission routes of communicable diseases, Which vaccines should be applied in dentists and auxiliary personnel
5 Enterococcus (VRE) Infections, Tight contact isolation
6 Sharp object injuries
7 Sterilization and disinfection
8 Central sterilization unit (CSU)
9 Sterilization process, Pressurized steam sterilization, Placement of autoclaved materials and instruments, Use of autoclave flash program, Dry air sterilization
10 Stages to be considered in dentistry clinics, Points to be considered in preclinical applications
11 Considerations in laboratory applications, Laboratory acceptance areas
