Course Objective

Knowledge to students about of bacterial, viral, parasitar, mycotic, metabolic and other diseases of poultry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to recognize the common diseases of poultry.
2   Gains the ability to make necropsy necessary for the diagnosis of poultry diseases
3   Proper sampling of the organs according to disease
4   Learns anomalies, circulatory and metabolic disorders, degenerative and necrotic changes of related organs in the system
5   Have knowledge about etiology and pathogenesis of infectious diseases in poultry
6   Learn about the neoplastic and parasitic diseases of the organs of the system
7   To be able to interpret the general health management and disease prognosis
8   Evaluates all pathological changes in organs, makes a preliminary diagnosis of diseases and takes necessary protective measures
9   Recognize the macroscopic lesions in the external and internal examinations of live and dead birds and evaluate the outcome of the disease in terms of public health
10   Learn about the disinfection method and chemicals required in infectious diseases
11   Have knowledge about control principles in poultry diseases
