Course Objective

To examine the basic anatomical structures of domestic animals by dividing them into regions.
To examine the anatomical structures that the students have seen systematically before without looking at the structures and functions from the outside to the inside or from the inside out in the regions where they are located.
To teach the student the positions of anatomical formations in the body, their postures and positions, as well as their neighborhood with each other in details.
Systematically preparing the student for pre-clinical and clinical sciences.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns the anatomical structures that consist the body on a regional basis.
2   Uses the acquired knowledge he has learned, in pre-clinical courses and clinical courses.
3   Acquires the ability of scientific thinking, forming hypothesis, questioning and expressing what he thinks freely.
4   Gains the ability to adapt the acquired knowledge to clinical and surgical applications.
5   Designs and implements experiments, analyzes and evaluates data.
6   Acquires the ability of interdisciplinary teamwork, motivation and entrepreneurship.
7   Contributes to national and international accumulation by the gained knowledge .

1 Planes of the body, Regiones cranii / Skull regions, Regiones faciei / Facial regions Important foramens and their placement on the skull,sinuses and their boundaries, Important nerves and thier courses in the region and place of anesthesia
2 Regio nasalis/ Nasal region, Regio oralis/ Mouth region, Regio orbitalis/ Eye region, regio cornualis / Horn region Important structures in the region including arteries, veins and nerves also their courses and places of anesthesia, determination of age by teeth, structure of bulbus oculi (eyeball), course of cornual nerve and anesthesia.
3 Regiones colli/ Neck Region, Regiones dorsi/ Spine region, Regio parotidea/ Parotid region, Regio pharyngea/ Pharynx region, Regio laryngea/ Larynx region Muscles of the neck, formation of jugular sulcus, formation of nuchal ligament, cerebro spinal fluid punction places, sub regios of the neck region
4 Regio brachiocephalica / Brachiocephalic region, Regio trachealis/ Tracheal region Intramuscular injection places, place of esophagotomy operation, place of tracheotomy operation

11 Regiones membri thoracici/ Front limb regions Topography of region including skeleton, muscles, nerves, arteries and veins,lymph nodes. Structure of brachial plexus. Courses of the nerves originate from brachial plexus and places of anesthesia of the nerves mentioned.
